About the Artist
Artist Norton Wisdom is a legendary California painter, a member of the California Locos art collective and revolutionary performance artist. He has performed with musicians such as Nels Cline (Wilco), Bernard Fowler (The Rolling Stones), Ivan Neville, Robby Krieger (The Doors), Lili Haydn, Parliament Funkadelics, Stephen Perkins (Janes Addiction), Llyn Foulkes, National Bamboo Orchestra of Bali, and classical organist Christoph Bull. His performances are all improvisational and, after 50 years, each performance is completely unique and prescient to the world we live in. Norton Wisdom’s fine art paintings and sculptures can be found in the permanent collections of the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, The Milwaukee Art Center, and the Orange County Museum of Art.
